  • The engine cranks but does not start-

If fuel has been sitting in your tank all winter, change it. Also, check the spark plug for corrosion or other damage, and clean the eyeball filter. If that fails, your ignition switch could have the major problem.

  • Engine turns over but dies quickly-

Your battery may have trouble keeping charge. Charge it up for 24 hours and try again. If it dies when you take your foot off the brake and also turns off the engine when there is no driver in the seat. Make sure its plugged in.  Still not working? You may need to replace it.

  • The starter rope stuck or hard to pull-

This problem is generally raised by the engagement of engine flywheel brake. First, check the flywheel brake and press it before pulling the rope again. If it is ok then check the lawnmower blade.

For fixing that problem, place the mower on the hard surface and carefully clean the bottom side of the blade to remove any clippings or dirt. After that, pull the cord again. If the problem persists, consult the owners manual or contact with the manufacturer

  • The lawnmower loses power while moving-

Sometimes the mower owner hears a sharp breakdown sound from the engine and the mower engine loses its power. This is mainly caused by a dirty filter.

For solving this type of problems determine the filter position from owners manual and remove the filter and clean it. Another way to fix it is, use the manufacturer instruction.

  • The lawnmower loses power while start-

Generally, this problem can occur because of a damaged driver belt. This part is located in the motor casing. For solving this issue you can check the drive belt. If the belt is loose, reattach it. Also, if it is damaged then replace it. If the lawnmower runs on batteries, check the battery. Some lawnmower batteries may cause this issue.  however, it is not common for lawnmower batteries to slow a mower speed.

  • The mower will not start-

An empty gas tank is the most common cause of a lawnmower not starting. Mower owners who are diligent about keeping their tanks full should still check the tank to see if there is a leak. If the gas tank is not the issue because the mower runs on a battery, check the battery for signs of damage. Lawnmower batteries may also lose their ability to hold a charge after some days.

  • The mower is smoking-

This might look scary, it's not so serious issue. You mower can smoke if your oil chamber is full, It's simply burning off while the engine is hot. But if you're seeing lighter colored smoke, plus have trouble keeping your mower running, it's time for a serious look by a professional.

  • Cleaning the lawn mower-

The lawnmower must first be cleaned. A bucket of soapy water is perfect for this. And the degreaser will be sprayed over the engine and the carburetors of the lawn mower. Any debris lodged in the engine cooling fins should be completely removed

  • Oil change

Engine longevity may increase when you change the lawn mower oil regularly. Most lawn mower engine doesn't have any drain plug. You have to spend oil by removing the filter plug. Also, be sure to check the user manual for the specific oil type of your engine.

  • Air filter-

The air filter is vitally important to stop dust and debris from entering the carburetor and engine of the lawn mower The air filter is easily replaced by swapping it over with the new one. Be sure the area holding the air filter is cleaned at the same time as a replacement. A few dollars for a new air filter each year can literally extend the life of the engine by years and save hundreds of dollars on repair bills or having to replace lawn mowers or engines.

  • Spark plug-

A nice and new spark plug will ensure a quick start and smooth running of your mower. You have to add a little engine oil around the thread of the plug so it can be easily removed at the next service.
